Mac N Cheese

grated cheddar

grated gruyere

bread crumbs

cayenne pepper (optional)

chili flakes (optional)
- Preheat oven to 200C convection (180C upper/lower)
- Melt two thirds of butter in a pan, stir in flour
- Add milk and bring to a boil while stirring
- Simmer until the sauce thickens, then slowly add all the cheese
- Continue simmering until all the cheese is dissolved, then add spices
- Cook maccaroni according to package instructions
- Melt remaining butter in another pan, stir in the breadcrumbs (2), fry until golden brown
- Put maccaroni into baking form, mix with sauce and top with breadcrumbs
- Bake for about 30min
Notes
(1) types and ratios of cheeses can be freely changed. Cheddar should be most though
(2) optionally add garlic powder and paprika powder to the breadcrumbs
