Korean Fried Tofu

Marinade

  • 1 Tbsp neutral oil
  • 1 Tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 Tbsp sugar
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 2 Tbsp gochugaru
  • 1 chili (optional)
  • 1 tsp sesame seeds
  • 1 Tbsp sesame oil
  • 80 ml water
  1. Cut tofu into 2cm thick slices and press water out
  2. mince garlic, chili and spring onion
  3. Mix all ingredients for the marinade
  4. Fry Tofu in a pan until slightly brown
  5. Add marinade and let simmer on low heat
  6. Once most of the marinate has been absorbed, remove from heat and garnish with spring onion
